Tawang district is one of the 17 administrative districts of Arunachal Pradesh and the western most district of Arunachal Pradesh, bordered by Bhutan on the West and China on the North.
The district is roughly located between 27045’ N latitude and 90015’ E longitude. The total area of the district is 2,172 km2.The district headquarter Tawang is located 5500 m (apprx.) asl. The total population of the district (as per 2011 census) is 49,950. Literacy rate of the district is 60.6% and the sex-ratio is 701.
The major population of the district belongs to Monpa tribe and follows Buddhist religion.

Hawai is the district headquarters of the newly created Anjaw District in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in north-east India. It is located at an altitude of 1296 m above sea level on the banks of the Lohit River, a tributary of the Brahmaputra River.

Changlang district is located in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh; south of Lohit district and north ofTirap district and east of Myanmar. As per 2011 census, with a population of 1, 47,951, it is the second most populous district of Arunachal Pradesh after Papum Pare district.

Pasighat is the district headquarters of East Siang district in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. Situated at 155 meters, with its scenic splendors, Pasighat is Arunachal's oldest town.
Pasighat was founded in 1911 A.D. by the British as a gateway to administrative convenience of the greater Abor Hills and the north area in general. Primarily there were settlements of Pasi and Minyong communities who are still living in the villages in and around Pasighat. Year 2011 (January) marked 100 years of its existence.
Pasighat is located at 28.07°N 95.33°Eand has an average elevation of 153 meters absl.

The dismembered head of Sati (Parvati) is said to have fallen at Akashiganga(100 km according to ancient Hindu myths). This is a highly sacred place for Vaishnavites.

The district headquarter of Lower Dibang Valley is Roing.
As of 2011 census, the district had a population of 53,986. Males constitute 57% of the population and females 43%. Roing has an average literacy rate of 70.38%,
Both Idu Mishmi and Adi tribes form the principal indigenous dwellers of the district. Mehao wild life sanctuary, Sally lake, Mehao lake and Mayudia mountain pass remain covered with snow during peak winter. The town, located at the foothill of the Mishmi Hill, is lively with friendly people. Reh festival of Idu Mishmi is celebrated in the month of February 1 while Solung festival of Adi in September 1 every year with great joy. Unlike other rough terrain towns of Arunachal, Roing is quite plain with a lot of land for farming and cultivation. Roing is connected to Tinsukia, a major town of Assam, separated by the Brahmaputra river which is the major route.
During summer the river floods which takes a three hour journey via ferry-boat which is quite an experience to have. Another route is via Tezu-Chowkham-Namsai again connecting to Tinsukia which is an all season road link due to the bridge over Lohit at ParshuramKund and another one at Namsai.
Buses operated by APSTS (Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services ply to and fro from Roing, connecting the place with rest of the world.
